		<description>Dear Jacques, keep up the good work. Life was not meant to be easy - but it can be beautiful. I have found some solace in poetry and music. Love, life and relationships are hard work. Orwell said that ignorance is bliss, but I prefer to be informed about the ghastly truth, as I think you do too. I always considered you the best of the ULC and was equally insulted and flattered when you called me the &#039;champion of the left&#039; on campus. The venal and incompetent inhabit all of the political spectrum; left, right, whatever. Unfounded optimism is one way of dealing with it all. Works for me so far...
